For the adventurous, lovers and thrill-seekers - Gangchon Station, Quadbike/ATV

Ever want to try riding a motor bike but don't have the license? or thinking it is too dangerous to ride on the streets?

At South Korea, gangwon-do, you can try riding a quad bike/ATV (4 wheels motor bike) on a road, path and track designated just for the ATVs. So, it is safe!

Firstly, what does an ATV looks like?
Tada! Okay first question to mind, do i need a license to drive this?
As mentioned above, the answer is no :)
The staff will teach you how to ride this (it's very easy), and yes some of the staff there speaks and understands english. So, there is not much to worry.

Second question, What is the price?
It is calculated by per hour.
For the red atv, it is 25000 won
for the blue atv, it is 30000 won.

The blue atv is more expensive as it is more powerful (the person claimed that).

third question, how many person can an atv take?
you can sit from 1 to 2 person.

fourth question, my companions does not dare to ride the atv or i have kids with me and they are too young to ride.
- kids(as young as babies) can ride this with an accompanying adult (like how motorist carried their child on a motorbike),

Apart from the ATVs, there are bicycles (ranging from kids bike to couple bike etc) there available for rent as well.

There are many locations with ATVs available for rent. The place i went is at Gangchon Station.
(Refer to the one highlighted in yellow)

If you're coming from seoul, you may want to go to  cheongnyangi station (circled in red) and take an ITX to gangchon station or the normal metro to gangchon station.

After alighting at gangchon station, turn right and walk straight until you see something like a mini park which eventually leads you to the love proposal staircase. From there, climb down the long stairs and you will see alot of ATVs and bicycles for rental. :)

Other tips:
1. helmet is provided
2. long sleeve top and pants are recommended in case you fall down or the wind are too cold for you.
3. purchase a water with you before going as you may be thirsty.
4. carry a small bag or bagpack as there are no lockers.
